Tina Williamson Ms. Williamson's love of travel began as a child, following an Army
father to different postings throughout the U.S. and Europe. Her parents made the most of each move with family vacations
and long weekends to surrounding countries, usually with a station wagon and tents. Photo albums and videos were full of images
of gondola rides in Venice, bullfights in Barcelona, swimming in Alpine lakes, and eating sausages at German festivals. Those
childhood experiences led to adult wanderlust and trips to Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
Learning about other people and cultures led
Williamson to establish Women Worldwide, an organization connecting people around the world with opportunities to help women and children in
need. Women Worldwide provides links to volunteer, donate, be an advocate, and buy from women in underdeveloped countries
around the world. Following her love of travel and meeting new people, Williamson looked for opportunities for volunteer travel. Not always finding what she was looking for, she
decided to create Give Back Kick Back Travel. The thinking: people who volunteer abroad often want to tour the country they
are visiting – and – many world travelers would love an opportunity to help locals in need.
