About Us

Back Kick Back Travel is a collaboration between Pamela Bracken, a travel industry veteran of 25 years, and Tina Williamson, a serial entrepreneur.

Pamela Bracken

Ms. Bracken has 25+ years experience in the travel industry.  She combined her passion for music and travel when she founded Adventures in Rock (AIR) in 1999 and has since led the industry in her unique approach to combining premier musical events with a sense of wanderlust and boundless adventure, creating AIR trips to Mali’s Festival in the Desert, the Havana Jazz Festival, the Sacred Music Festival in Fez, Morocco, U2 in Dublin and Cream at Royal Albert Hall, just to name a few.

Beyond musical adventures, Bracken is an expert in African photo safaris, experienced in providing first class outfitters for high-end adventure travelers. Additionally, she has expertise in developing customized travel, combining deluxe travel accommodations with special amenities and superlative service. As one satisfied client said:  “all the I’s were dotted and the T’s were crossed.” She has developed specially-designed customized trips for the Berklee College of Music, Boston Center For Adult Education, and many NPR radio stations.

Bracken's unique focus has always emphasized the importance of the place and culture hosting the trip, with locals providing background and flavor.  Now with Give Back Kick Back, travelers can expand their travel adventure by making a difference in the communities they visit.

Tina Williamson

Ms. Williamson's love of travel began as a child, following an Army father to different postings throughout the U.S. and Europe. Her parents made the most of each move with family vacations and long weekends to surrounding countries, usually with a station wagon and tents. Photo albums and videos were full of images of gondola rides in Venice, bullfights in Barcelona, swimming in Alpine lakes, and eating sausages at German festivals. Those childhood experiences led to adult wanderlust and trips to Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, Australia, and Asia.

Learning about other people and cultures led Williamson to establish Women Worldwide, an organization connecting people around the world with opportunities to help women and children in need. Women Worldwide provides links to volunteer, donate, be an advocate, and buy from women in underdeveloped countries around the world. Following her love of travel and meeting new people,

Williamson looked for opportunities for volunteer travel. Not always finding what she was looking for, she decided to create Give Back Kick Back Travel. The thinking: people who volunteer abroad often want to tour the country they are visiting – and – many world travelers would love an opportunity to help locals in need.

Give Back Kick Back Travel

Ms. Bracken and Ms. Williamson came together through their love of music and travel, meeting in 2000.  Friends and colleagues ever since, both realized their common goals of cultural exploration and aiding women and children in developing countries. Together they are combining Bracken's 25+ years of travel planning experience and Williamson's decades of wanderlust and resolve to “Give Back” to deliver unique, individually crafted top-tier trips that offer an opportunity for a hands-on service project in the countries visited with the exotic adventure and discovery discerning travelers have come to expect.
